Re: AB 1281, The California School Racial Equality Designation Act
Dear Governor:
I am a resident of California. AB 1281 is vitally important to multiracial students because it will encourage the use of the term "multiracial" when referring to students of multiple races or ethnicities. It will also allow multiracial children to feel included in the data collection process in our schools. It is progressive and the right thing to do for our children.
I hope you will sign AB 1281 into law and make it possible for California's multiracial children to see themselves reflected accurately and with dignity and respect in our schools. Thank you.
