Jena is active on boards and with associations in many areas, including civil rights. She has been a strong and vocal advocate for multiracial children in the California schools. A Ph.D. candidate in Special Education, her "retirement" includes completing her doctorate.

SHARYN DOANES is a human resources professional in Georgia. Her experience includes Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations for Choicepoint, Inc., and Director of Human Resources for The New York Times. Sharyn has B.A., J.D., MBA, and Masters of Law degrees. She currently handles employment law issues for the Law Offices of Michael Bergin. She is the very proud mother of Jennifer and Jessica Bergin and has been a Project RACE member and mentor for 20 years.
